**Role Overview**: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager to join our rapidly growing team. In this role, you'll lead and manage a cross functional team driving the development of our products while ensuring continuous improvement in velocity and efficiency. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping our technological roadmap and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. **What you will do**:

- ** Team Leadership**: Lead and mentor a cross-functional engineering team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to engineers, fostering their growth and skill development.
- ** Product Ownership**: Collaborate closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand business objectives, translate them into technical requirements, and drive the execution of the product roadmap. Take ownership of product delivery and quality, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- ** Velocity Improvement**: Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in development processes and workflows. Implement strategies to increase team velocity, optimize development cycles, and improve overall productivity without compromising quality.
- ** Resource Planning and Allocation**: Work closely with senior management to define resource needs, allocate engineering resources effectively, and manage priorities in a rapidly evolving startup environment.
- ** Cross-functional Collaboration**: Foster collaboration and communication across teams and departments, ensuring alignment and synchronization of efforts to achieve company goals.
- ** Technical Leadership**: Maintain a deep understanding of current technologies, industry trends, and best practices. Provide technical guidance, make informed decisions, and drive innovation within the engineering teams.

**Who you are**:

- ** Previous Experience**: Proven experience (3+ years) in a leadership role managing engineering teams in a fast-paced, agile startup environment. Experience scaling engineering teams during rapid growth phases is highly desirable.
- ** Technical Background**: Strong technical background in software development with expertise in NodeJS, TypeScript, GraphQL and Postgres, along with experience in building event-driven, test-driven and stateless systems. Ability to guide technical discussions and make informed decisions.
- ** Product Mindset**: Demonstrated ability to balance strong product ownership with a focus on increasing team velocity. Experience working closely with product managers to deliver high-quality products.
- ** Leadership Skills**: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor team members to achieve their best while fostering a collaborative environment.
- ** Adaptability**: Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing startup environment. Adaptable, proactive, and able to navigate ambiguity while maintaining a solution-oriented mindset.
