**About Us**

The South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS) Is responsible for protecting the South Australian community from the effects of fire, road crashes, chemical incidents and other emergencies. We are a team of approximately 1,300 operational personnel and corporate professionals serving the Community across 20 metropolitan and 17 regional fire stations.

**About the role**

The Logistics Support Assistant is accountable to ensure that the MFS Logistics Section can support Regional and Metropolitan Operations with a 24 hours/seven-day service delivery.

The Logistics Support Assistant is required to assist the Logistics Coordinator to support the delivery of the MFS logistics function by ensuring the efficient distribution of supplies (PPE, equipment, uniforms, furniture, fixtures, fittings and office-based resources) across MFS metropolitan based sites and assist in maintaining the Mission Critical store to confirm that the MFS is equipped to respond to campaign and major incidents.

**About you**
- Ability to handle and monitor stock and record stock movements.
- Ability to cooperate and communicate with staff and suppliers at all levels.
- Proven ability to achieve results within set deadlines.
- Ability to converse effectively and courteously with customers.
- Ability to work consistently and effectively with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work as a member of a team with a customer service focus.
- Ability to perform manual lifting tasks on a regular basis.
- Willingness and ability to learn new tasks and undertake formal training as required.
- An ability to examine and improve existing work practices and systems.
- Experience in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in successfully undertaking a variety of tasks in a production, logistics or operational environment (or similar).

OPS2
$58,709 - $63,154
