The General Manager, Lived Experience will be responsible for developing strategic directions for embedding lived experience leadership across the mental health service system in Victoria ensuring that leadership opportunities are provided to the lived experience workforce within a framework that is supportive and encouraging.
As General Manager, Lived Experience, responsibilities will include collaboratively working with the lived experience Commissioners to lead the establishment of lived experience in the MHWC, promoting lived experience across the broader sector and engage the knowledge and wisdom of the consumer and carer communities in the strategic directions of the MHWC.
You are
- An experienced lived experience executive leader, bringing expertise in successfully implementing new ways of working within a lived experience platform
- An exemplary leader in building partnerships and maintaining trusting stakeholder relationships
- Committed to ensuring partnership with people with a lived experience of mental illness and psychological distress at every step of the reform journey
- Committed to ensuring partnership with families, carers, kin who support consumers
- Able to lead the delivery of complex and innovative programs of work
- Able to operate in a complex and dynamic regulatory, policy and service environment in the public interest
- Committed to delivering the highest standards of service, preferably in a complaints related context
