Fundamental research analysts work closely with the trading team, using superior processes, data and intuition to forecast the first, second and third moment of a security’s price distribution around thematic and idiosyncratic events. Fundamental research analysts refine forecasts into actionable trade ideas.

Your Objectives:

1. Develop in-depth fundamental knowledge of a sector or industry, as well as broad base knowledge of financial markets.
2. Identify pricing inefficiencies and collaborate with traders to monetize predictions.
3. Identify new sources of data and transform unstructured data sets into signals.
4. Own the information space you work within (i.e., large-cap tech) by monitoring trends in the marketplace.
5. Employ a holistic approach to predicting distribution of outcomes and making volatility predictions.

Your Skills & Talents:

1. Strong academic background and demonstrated communication and collaboration skills.
2. A strong interest in financial markets and a desire to learn about both the macro and micro fundamentals that drive them.
3. Ability to collaborate and use limited information to think systematically and quantitatively.
4. Intermediate experience with programming, especially Python, as well as strong Excel skills.
