**The Opportunity**
- Our team of Ward Secretaries are the welcoming face on the hospital wards and are the first point of contact for families and visitors.
- Our team is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and strives to achieve the best outcomes for our customers.
- In this role, you will assist the Ward Secretary Coordinator and be actively involved in all services, within respective wards, along with understanding and overseeing all daily duty requirements in these service delivery areas.
- You will be required to actively promote and mentor staff on professional practice and strong customer service values.
- You will also be required to support and relieve staff in their roles during leave days, both planned and unplanned and ensure that administrative functions, support the clinical functions and that all requests for service are undertaken and met in a timely manner.
**About You**
- Leadership qualities and experience in the day to day management of staff
- Strong keyboard and computer skills using MS Office
- Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to prioritise and complete tasks within designated timeframes
- Ability to work effectively unsupervised and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Efficient organisation skills and ability to problem solve effectively
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Willingness to accept and promote Ramsay’s core values
- Prior experience working in a hospital or medical practice setting
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with the Meditech System

**Requirements**:

- Must be **vaccinated against Covid-19** a vaccine approved by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation
- _Must provide a _**National Police** check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a **Working-With-Children** check and **proof of immunisation** against infectious diseases
