
Compliance and Assurance Team Leader

**About the role**: The Victoria Police Armoury manages scheduling and audits of Victoria Police's accountable equipment including firearms, in accordance with legislation, policy and local operating procedures. The role also requires a customer centric, collaborative, and innovative approach to working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and supports flexible working arrangements. **Your duties will include**: - Ensuring compliance with legislation and other workplace policies applicable to the Armoury. - Establishing and maintaining internal compliance policy and risk management processes into existing business practices. - Reporting and advising Senior Management regarding operational and deliverable issues including identifying and assisting to mitigate risk. **About You**: - Experience in the management of a logistics team with diverse skills and expertise. - Ability to conduct research, undertake audit and prepare reports including making recommendations regarding risk and compliance - High level of computer proficiency (including but not limited to the Microsoft office suite of programs (MS Word, Project & Excel) and the ability to quickly learn customised software programs - Strong interpersonal, oral and communication skills, including the ability to prepare complex reports, maintain data and brief key Divisional personnel and external stakeholders. - A strong commitment to Operational Infrastructure Department's strategy goals - supporting our people and embracing customer centricity, innovation and collaboration in our delivery of services. **Further Information**: - One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available. - This position is located in Inner City North East Melbourne. - Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa. - We expect our people to foster a safe and inclusive environment where their behaviour and attitude reflects, builds upon and promotes a positive and collaborative workplace that respects the culture and values of Victoria Police. - **Resume**: **Applications close midnight, Tuesday 5 August 2025.** **About Us**: Victoria Police has a dedicated workforce of more than 22,000 employees consisting of police, protective services officers, police custody officers, and public service staff.
