We are seeking a draftsperson to join this successful and growing team, assisting in the delivery of a range of traffic planning, design and engineering projects throughout South Australia and beyond. we are looking for someone with a high-level of experience using AutoCAD software, ideally with prior experience in the traffic, transport and/or civil engineering sectors.
The primary objectives of the position are to:

- assist engineering and planning staff in the provision of technical design services for public and private Clients in a timely manner;
- undertake and prepare conceptual and detailed designs for a broad range of engineering and planning projects;
- assist in the analysis of traffic and parking data, as well as the preparation of written assessment outcomes. This may also include utilisation of modelling software (such as SIDRA Intersection) to undertake detailed analyses; and
- assist engineering and planning staff with project and general administration tasks as required.

As part of the position, you will be involved in preparing conceptual, functional and detailed designs for various traffic and parking systems for Clients both within the public and private sectors, under the guidance of senior engineering staff.
- sound knowledge and skills in the use AutoCAD (2D) software. This will desirably also include AutoCAD’s Vehicle Tracing software;
- prior experience in the use of Revit and Bim 360 is highly favourable;
- knowledge and experience in relation to geometric road design, including intersections and parking areas;
- have the ability to work collaboratively in group a environments as well as autonomously within a fast-paced environment;
- great communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact competently with internal and external stakeholders; and
- knowledge and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite.
- conceptual and detailed design plans illustrating compliant road, access and/or parking designs;
- preparation of traffic control plans, including signage and linemarking, for implementation as part of a project’s detailed design phase and/or construction delivery;
- undertaking of vehicle turn path simulation assessments using AutoCAD Vehicle Tracking software, for both light and commercial vehicle types;
- provision of assistance in the collection and/or assessment of traffic data for input into traffic and/or parking analyses for a wide range of projects;
- ability to manage time, set priorities and achieve targets in the completion of a diverse range of activities and complete projects on (or under) budget and on time;
- effective communication with Clients and all levels of staff with a strong commitment to the delivery of high-quality customer service.
