We are looking for an Employee Services Officer to join our Payroll Services team at Parliamentary Services. You will be responsible for processing payroll and personnel related information using the Aurion Human Resource Information System (HRIS), providing advice and assistance to members, management and staff on payroll and personnel administration issues, and assisting with various projects and activities related to payroll services.
You will also have the opportunity to work with external agencies such as the Office of the Governor and the Queensland Audit Office, prepare budgetary information, correspondence and documentation related to salaries and allowances, and review and improve the systems used within the section.
**To be successful in this role, you will need**:
- 2 to 3 years of experience in a payroll and/or personnel administration environment;
- Sound knowledge of or the ability to rapidly acquire sound knowledge of legislative; and award provisions, policies, procedures and systems associated with the payroll services function in the Parliamentary Service and the Queensland public sector;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills;
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail and quality;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and
- Proficiency in using Aurion HRIS or similar systems
