The Department of Health and Aged Care is the largest granting agency in the Commonwealth. Grants Branch are seeking an APS6 Grants Policy Officer to assist with this important grant administration work. The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of the department's grant policies, processes and templates. They will also work with our staff and the Department of Finance to ensure the efficient compliant management of grants.
Position Duties:
- Write, coordinate and quality assure grant policy content for the widely-used Grant Toolkit on the DoHAC intranet.
- Effectively communicate grant administration policy to make compliance straightforward for staff involved at all stages of the grant lifecycle.
- Monitor emerging issues, identify information gaps and contribute to the design and development of resources as required.
- Monitor and evaluate Grant Toolkit performance, ensuring it continues to meet the needs of users and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Manage DoHAC’s involvement with DoF fora, including grant communities of practice and working groups by providing coordination, scheduling and governance services
- Represent the Department at the Department of Finance governance forum as required.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative tools and resources to enhance grant administration.
- Other duties in line with the APS6 work level standard as directed.
