**About the role**:
Join a high performing People and Culture team on a 12 months Fixed Term Contract.

The Workplace Relations Manager role provides expertise on all industrial and employee relations, primarily across the Viva Energy Supply Chain business and provides support into Liberty and the Viva Energy corporate functions and other business units as required, using internal and external insights to deliver Workplace Relations guidance and advice.
In this role, you will take a lead in our relationship and key negotiations with trade unions and other representative forums with a view to securing business performance, employee engagement and legal compliance. It also provide coaching and development for line managers in order to continue our constructive relationships with trade unions.

You will also be responsible for conducting the investigation of whistle-blower matters relating to alleged breaches of people and culture policy and practice, as well as individual case management (and oversight) of employment disputes, grievance resolution matters and other escalated People issues.

**About you**:
To be successful in the role you will bring the following;
- Substantial experience of working independently in or leading employee relations function within a complex, unionised organisation
- Experience of creating and implementing employee relations interventions that have a demonstrable impact on organisational success
- Ability to build relationships and communicate at all levels within an organisation
- Flexible approach to problem solving, balancing policy, best practice, legal and business issues to provide pragmatic solutions
- Credible expert with the ability to influence; evidenced through delivery and up to date knowledge
- A legal background (practicing or non-practising solicitor) would be helpful but not mandatory
