- About the role- Are you the kind of person who enjoys analysing risk, thrives on building relationships and business development with key stakeholders and business partners? Are you interested in building a long-term career in an evolving industry protecting business around Australia? This role could be just what you are looking for.As a SME Underwriter within our General Insurance business, you will support the Underwriting Manager and local distribution team to grow and maintain a profitable SME portfolio by delivering a market leading level of underwriting to support our brokers.

You will evaluate risk across a broad range of industries and lines of insurance. You will build and manage broker relationships; support and assist marketing initiatives, whilst maintaining a profitable portfolio.

- Knowledge of the relevant legislation and regulations governing General Insurance
- Knowledge of quoting systems
- General understanding of broker networks and systems
- Computer literate - Excel to intermediate level of proficiency
- Demonstrated competency in communication and influencing skills
