Sterilisation Technician Grade 2

We offer an exciting opportunity to work within the Sterilising Services Department at Ryde Hospital. The sterilising services department is looking for a highly motivated enthusiastic person with recent experience in an acute hospital setting to work as a Sterilisation Technician Grade 2 to provide sterile, thermal and chemically disinfected medical and surgical equipment to all areas for use in patient care, in accordance with Australian Standards.

**Where you'll be working**

Ryde Hospital Sterilisation Department

**What you'll be doing**
The primary purpose of this position is to provide sterile, thermal and chemically disinfected medical and surgical equipment to all areas for use in patient care, in accordance with Australian Standards.

**_People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply._**
- Completion of an accredited Certificate in Sterilisation Technology at TAFE.
- Experience in a sterilising department environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to listen and undertake direction.
- Ability to function harmoniously within a team environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of the principles of Workplace Health & Safety, and principles of Infection Control.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy of patients and staff, at all times.
