Antimicrobial Stewardship and Clinical Pharmacist Grade 3- Temporary Full-Time

Ryde Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic pharmacist to provide a clinical pharmacy and antimicrobial stewardship service on a temporary full-time basis.

Ryde Hospital Pharmacy Department

Ryde Hospital is having an incredible $479 million complete hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community.

The Ryde Hospital Redevelopment will result in new health facilities and enhanced services including emergency, ICU/critical care, inpatient units, outpatient/ambulatory care services and much more.

Construction commenced in early 2023, and will provide you with a wonderful and exciting opportunity to be part of the Ryde team to change the future health services for the Ryde Community completely.

What you'll be doing

The purpose of the Antimicrobial Stewardship and Clinical Pharmacist role is to work with key stakeholders to facilitate effective and efficient use of antimicrobials at Ryde Hospital with the primary focus to work with clinicians to enhance patient care including ensuring compliance with mandatory standards and policies.

The incumbent is responsible for the provision of clinical services to a designated clinical area and support to the Senior Pharmacist to provide pharmacy services to the patients within the organisation and working with other health care professionals to enhance patient care.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

• Current registration as a pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with no conditions or restrictions on practice. Evidence of extensive clinical experience.
• Extensive experience in the provision of clinical pharmacy services in a hospital setting with a demonstrated knowledge of contemporary pharmacy practice.
• Proven ability to work independently and to establish effectively collaboratively working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team and interagency networks. Have able to prioritise work, manage a demanding workload, apply high level reasoning skills and have independent professional judgement.
