The Melbourne office requires a project lighting designer looking for an established, creative focused lighting team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team working across a broad spectrum of projects in various business sectors; not just pure lighting design, but research, content and digital media. We work with market leading clients, architects, interior designers and artists to deliver stimulating people focused experiences within the built environment.

**The Opportunity**
- You will be responsible for the inception and design of creative lighting concepts, developing simple and elegant design approaches to complex design problems
- Responsible for the selection and specification of lighting equipment and controls
- Carry out lighting calculations as part of design
- Responsible for the delivery of designs through to construction phase.
- Required to work with mínimal supervision in your area of responsibility, and you may be accountable for defined parts of design projects.

**Is this role right for you?**
- Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in a design focussed discipline (i.e. lighting design/architecture/interior design/industrial design) or similar area;
- Ability to hand sketch to communicate design ideas, both with colleagues and clients;
- Skilled with graphical communications software (Photoshop, InDesign)
- Experience in technical lighting issues and calculations (i.e. Dialux, Dialux Evo AGI32)
- Experience in documentation and BIM software i.e. Revit
- Experience in writing technical documentation such as lighting specifications, luminaire schedules, control schedules;
- Relevant completed project experience;
