**Sustainability Program Lead**

This enterprise scale, Newcastle based organisation is looking for a talented and passionate
**Sustainability Program Lead** to join the team. With a focus on their people and the community, they have long been considered an employer of choice in the region.

**About the role**:
This dynamic, business critical role will collaborate with the broader organisation to lead the corporate sustainability program. As the
**Sustainability Program Lead **you will implement strategic sustainability initiatives, including the enhanced reporting, monitoring and performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sustainability strategies, policies and programs
- Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities to improve our sustainability practices, reduce our environmental footprint, and enhance our social impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, communications and finance, to drive sustainability initiatives across the organization.
- Engage with stakeholders, including customers, community groups, government agencies and industry bodies
- Monitor and report on the progress of our sustainability programs, using key performance indicators and other metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

**About you**

As an experienced Sustainability professional, you will be a natural influencer with the ability to drive change practices and further showcase the positive business outcomes achieved.

You will bring:

- Tertiary qualifications in sustainability, environmental science, environmental engineering or other related discipline
- Relevant experience developing and implementing corporate sustainability programs, including reporting, KPIs and performance tracking
- Significant experience in change management, communication and project management in delivering strategic initiatives
- High level communication, influence and negotiation skills, including business writing and presentation
- Qualifications in and/or experience in IAP2 and ISCA are highly desirable
