**The Opportunity**:
As an Apprentice Mechanic you will carry out repairs and servicing of forklifts, plant equipment, trucks and other equipment in the branch workshop, ensuring that all work is carried out efficiently and complies with good work practice and safety standards.

**Key Duties**
- Carry out repairs and servicing of forklifts, plant equipment, trucks and other equipment in the branch workshop
- Ensure that all work is carried out efficiently and complies with good work practice and safety standards.
- Service and repair equipment in line with the manufacturers and company standards and requirements, report any deficiencies or faults.
- Compile clear, legible, neat documentation and provide information required relative to time keeping, job repair recording and materials requisitioning and purchase.
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment and ensure that HSE responsibilities are adhere to.
- Operate equipment and use tools in a tradesman-like manner and report faulty equipment or tools to supervisors
- Manage jobs and tasks allocated to ensure their completion within standard times and costs
- Manage work practices to comply with environmental standards and practices.
- Comply with terms and conditions of employment
- Attend and participate in company provided training and information/service meetings.
- Initiate action to prevent occurrence of non-conformance.
- Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process or quality system relative to the function.

**Training**
- Effect short term corrective action as appropriate
- Attend TAFE regularly and promptly
- Complete studies, assignments, assessments and exams with the utmost effort and care

- Secondary - HSC or Equivalent
- Tertiary/TAFE - Undertake training towards Trade qualifications - Mechanical or Electrical
- Licenses - Drivers License (car), LPG, CNG, Forklift Drivers License
- Other - MVRIA Repairers License, Heavy Vehicle License (Desirable)
