An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and flexible individual to join the Justice and Public Administration group in the Governance branch as Policy Officer at the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
As the Policy Officer you will work in the Public Sector Governance team to contribute to good governance in the public sector in Victoria and provide policy advice to the Premier, ministers and senior executives on governance topics and appointments across government.
There will also be opportunities to contribute to the longer-term strategic projects in the team and the Branch. Be part of a high-performing and supportive team that provides governance advice in a fast-paced environment at the centre of government.
To be successful in the role you will have proven ability to analyse and evaluate information, develop solutions to problems, the demonstrated ability to plan and prioritise your work, and the ability to constructively engage with and consider input from stakeholders.

**About you**
- Demonstrated policy experience including analysing and critically evaluating information and an understanding of government processes, and the role of Parliament, Ministers, and the public service.
- Highly developed planning and organising skills including setting clearly defined objectives and priorities and operating accordingly, reviewing and adjusting as required.
- Strong influence and negotiation skills, including identifying key stakeholders of an issue/project and engaging stakeholders and investing time in seeking their input.
- Demonstrated resilience including persevering to achieve goals in the face of obstacles and setback and remaining calm and in control under pressure.
