_An exciting job opportunity is available for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our Disability Support catering team_
- This position is situated in our Supported Residential Service in the Preston area and shifts are at Family friendly day time hours (9:30am-6PM). The Kitchen Hand is an integral and valued member of the wider Support Services team. This role is accountable for the provision of food services for residents and staff, whilst ensuring compliance to the Food safety Guidelines and Victorian Cleaning Standards. The Kitchen Hand contributes to a clean, safe and comfortable environment for all our residents and staff. _

Customer experience in the Disability industry is favourable.

**About the Role**

You will achieve benchmark standards in kitchen cleanliness and sanitizing processes, ensuring the delivery of residents meals. You will also receive goods and story accordingly, ensuring stock rotation procedures are followed.
- Provide effective food preparation
- Heat and Serve Lunch and Dinner
- General cleaning of the kitchen and fridges - floor, ceiling etc.
- Pot wash clean equipment and utensils
- Check receivable product and store away to relative areas
- Stock rotation
- Assist in stock take
- Clean/sanitise delivery and store area.
- Demonstrate positive workplace behaviours and relationships

**Your Contribution**
- Current food handlers certificate preferable ( HLTFSE001 )
- Experience in high volume food service
- Customer satisfaction driven
- Experience with people with Disability preferable
- Current NDIS Worker Screening check, or willing to obtain

**Salary**: $21.00 - $37.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Rotating roster

Supplemental pay types:

- Penalty rates
