This national service-based company who are the leader in their field are seeking an experienced Payroll Team Leader to join their high performing payroll team on a full-time permanent basis. The role will be based in their Brisbane City Fringe offices which are located close to various cafés and public transport options.
**Your new role**
Reporting to the Head of Payroll, you will be responsible for the following:
- Leading a payroll team to ensure pays are processed accurately within set time constraints
- Preparing and overseeing payroll reporting and payroll reconciliations
- Developing and sustaining best practice, procedures and payroll process improvements across the organisation
- Providing support and guidance in relation to complex payroll legislation, Awards and EAs
- Developing relationships and communicating with various internal stakeholders regarding payroll queries, processes, and best practice
- Assisting with hands on payroll processing as and when required to ensure payroll is processing on time
**What you'll need to succeed**
In order to be successful, you will meet the following requirements:
- Previous experience as a Payroll Supervisor or Team Leader
- Extensive payroll experience within a medium to large organisation
- Ability to interpret multiple and complex Awards and EAs
- Ability to lead by example and encourage a collaborative team environment
- Display strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with key internal stakeholders and employees
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
