**The Position**
Reporting to the People Operations Manager based in Sydney, the **People Advisor** role provides HR support to various site locations. You will be responsible for supporting our line Managers by providing customer-focussed HR support and advice that aligns and adheres to organisational policies, procedures and legal requirements. This includes award interpretation, policy advice, employee grievance support, and performance management support
- Build and foster positive relationships with all stakeholders
- Provide advice and support regarding all areas in the employee lifecycle, including but not limited to, award interpretation, performance management, policy advice, recruitment and talent development, employee terminations, absence management, exit interviews, employee grievances and other generalist people related enquiries
- Coach line managers on how to engage, develop, reward and retain their employees
- Assist and support CGA’s People Strategy and roll out of HR initiatives
- Assist with reporting and data requests and monitoring compliance with our industrial instruments
**The Person**
- HR / IR degree qualified (or 3+ years equivalent experience)
- Proven capacity to coordinate projects from start to finish
- Exposure to a broad range of generalist HR experience
- Strong knowledge and experience in Awards interpretation
- High level of written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in navigating a variety of HR and reporting systems
- Experience in Diversity and Inclusion initiatives
- Safety First advocate & change agent
- Proactive, well organised, and can work autonomously in an unsupervised environment
