**The Role**:
Our beautiful hotel is looking for a **Full-Time Reservations Supervisor **to lead our Reservations team alongside the Reservations Manager.

You will have previous experience in a hotel or related travel industry, as well as experience with staff supervision. Ideally, you will have a minimum of 1 year experience in a reservations agent position in a 5 star hotel and a real passion for delivering position outcomes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring enquires are responded to and processed in a timely manner.
- To assist in maximizing occupancy & rate to ensure hotel targets are met by understanding the market.
- Be fully conversant with all the Hotel’s facilities and services, including hotel packages and specials.
- Ensures thorough communication and administration work with all necessary departments.
- To undertake any other duties as required by management.
- Maintain constant control over the hotel room inventory
- Communicate key performance results and coach, motivate and inspire the team in achieving monthly/ year end / overall key performance indicators (KPI's).
- Build rapport with both new guests and regular guests by maximizing the use of guest history.
- Prepare Reservation Rosters.
- Coordinate the training of new Reservation Agents and ongoing training of existing team members.
- Provide feedback on the effect of pricing decisions on both team and guests and contribute to pricing decisions.
- Manage upselling Reservation targets.
- Complaint handling and problem solving when issues arise.
- Be familiar with key competitors and OTAs, their websites and product offerings.
- Assist with the management of group bookings.
- Supervise the allocation of room and suite types

**Job Requirements**:

- Excellent time management and planning skills.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills along with outstanding communication and capability.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in a luxury hotel or similar environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word
- Previous experience using Opera (property management system) and Travelclick (central reservation system) would be advantageous.
- Have local Melbourne knowledge and experience with the ability to suggest activities to guests
