The CME Energy & Utilities team focuses on serving both Corporate and Institutional Energy & Utilities clients as well as Project Finance transactions.

**The Role**:
We currently have a great opportunity for an Associate to join the Trade Finance Operations Team within C&IB. Our core business is processing Trade Finance transactions involving Documentary Letters of Credit and collections. The purpose of this role is to process international transactions for clients, under Letter of Credit and Collection, based in various market segments, including Institutional Banking, Corporate, Agribusiness and Nab Business, and be able to discuss aspects of these transactions with customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Authorises customer transactions, including Letters of Credit and International payments & decides alternate procedural actions within policy, procedures and industry practices and rules.
- Providing professional and ethical behaviour by ensuring compliance with external legislation, bank standards and internal operating policies
- Monitoring risk and assurance requirements and manages non-compliance in a timely manner
- Technical upskilling of STF expertise among broader team to ensure coverage of related roles exists, including PUA oversight and feedback to Product and Sales teams. Provide technical mentoring to l/c doc checking team - including upskilling, increase in level of mastery in their ability to interpret ICC rules and be able to articulate this.
- SME for trade related projects for eg. SWIFT 7XX series messages for SWIFT 2018/2020 upgrades

**Experience and Skills**:
To be successful in this role you will have good people skills along with a passion for coaching and motivating your team. Having excellent interpersonal skills along with great time management will allow you to manage peak periods of work volumes. Previous experience in a leadership role or with Derivative products, Market Operations and/or Collateral Management is essential.
