A state government department are looking for an experienced Executive Officer

**Your new company**

Our client based in East Perth is looking for an Executive Officer for a temporary period. This is a great opportunity to work within a government department

**Your new role**

As an Executive Officer, you will be responsible for:

- Manage the day-to-day operation of the Office of the Executive Director.
- Assess and prioritise requests in a timely manner
- Diary management, records and correspondence, coordinate travel arrangements.
- Schedule and support meetings to facilitate the effective management of their agenda.
- Draft, proof, compile and prepare documents, correspondence, papers, minutes, agendas, presentations, and briefing notes in line with departmental standards and requirements.
- Delegate and supervise the preparation and review of draft responses
- Gather, coordinate, collate and provide background information and papers for the to support informed decision-making and planning.
- Complete routine financial transactions and purchasing services, ensuring compliance with department standards and procedures.
- Maintain and update administrative practices, financial and information management systems, and procedures to improve efficiency and service delivery.
- Assists in the monitoring and reporting on physical, financial, and human resources
- Maintains effective relationships with the executive support staff in the Division
- Performs other duties as directed.

**What you'll need to succeed**

Experience in the similar position required but also:

- Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role
- Need to be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365
- Need to be proficient in HPRM/TRIM
