We are a professional Accountancy Firm located in Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. Our Team needs a self-motivated individual to assist in all aspects of hands-on administration or who may be looking to pursue a career in tax and accounting services as a junior accountant.
**What do we need?**
- Experience in using XERO and MYOB Accountants Enterprise software (or similar) is essential
- Microsoft Word, Excel, databases - intermediate level or higher
- Previous experience working in a small to medium sized office
- Attention to detail and highly organised
- Display competent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Clearly and thoroughly understand the requirements of your admin role.
- Confident personality with a can-do attitude
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changes
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- High level of attention to detail and able to prioritise tasks
**The Role**
- You will also be in charge of tax and administrative support to our clients, the Director and our Team members. This is a role with variety and your duties will also include
- Daily phone reception
- Daily mailing and daily update tax correspondence
- Preparing effective reports, Tax lodgement procedure and General letters
- Filing, scanning and electronic file handling
- Database and firm's procedures maintenance/ update.
- Receive tasks directly from the Director, update and report tasks completion status to the Director on daily basis.
- Maintain best practice office processes and procedures as per our Company Induction Manual.
- Attend career development training sessions and report training log to the Director.
- Provide competent administrative support to our Clients and Team members.
Received training to perform accounting tasks such as:
- Complete client data input as required.
- Generate necessary journal entries and trial balance for checking
- Prepare client income tax returns data for processing.
- Provide general assistance with the processing of bookkeeping and accounting tasks.
- Provide client assistance with compliance issues related to matters arising from PAYG, GST, Workcover, Superannuation, Service Australian and other government agencies.
Any ad-hoc office duties.
Maintaining an orderly and regularly updated Client Database which may include:
- Client Additions or Deletions on the central platforms XPM, Monday etc
- Preparing client letters.
- Managing Client data via the ATO Portal when requested.
- May be required to submit client requests on behalf of Managers/Partners through the ATO Portal
- Providing support to Administration Team
