**Position Information**:
Situated on the Central Coast, between the ocean and the lake in Darkinjung Country, Tuggerah Lakes Secondary College (TLSC) Tumbi Umbi Campus is a vibrant and welcoming middle years campus of TLSC. We have an enrolment of 860 students, with 130 students identifying as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander.
Our Campus is an inclusive school community, catering for the diverse learning needs of all students, including our inclusion and support faculty and fostering the talents of HPGE students by providing enrichment opportunities for all students throughout their school journey. The Campus values positive partnerships with the Parents and Citizens' Association and is an integral member of the Kuriwa Aboriginal Education Consultative Group, collaborating closely with partner primary schools as part of the Tuggerah Lakes Learning Community. Our staff are committed to providing an innovative curriculum and extra curricula activities within a safe, supportive setting. The Campus’ wellbeing is based on positive psychology research and focused on relationships, routines and rituals that build and strengthen connections.
**Selection Criteria**:
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,
1. Approval to teach Mathematics 7-12 with demonstrated evidence of exceptional classroom teaching and results driven by data informed practice.
2. Capacity to lead the Mathematics faculty to plan, implement and review curriculum and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning programs to enhance learning outcomes.
3. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a proven capacity to work collegially with the executive team to identify, develop and lead initiatives to support the school's strategic directions.
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
