**About Student and Scholarly Services**
Student and Scholarly Services provides student administration and services from recruitment and point of enquiry to graduation. This team also delivers wellbeing and scholarly services to students and staff.

The Video and Media (VM) team is organisationally located within Teaching and Learning Innovation, a part of the Scholarly Services portfolio within Student and Scholarly Services.

**About the Role**
As the Media Production Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the production of high-quality media materials for all disciplines within the university, with a particular focus on studio-based recording and livestreaming.

You will also have the opportunity to fill a range of supporting crew roles for on-location field sound recording, and camera operation. Additionally, you will provide technical support for the live streaming of events and productions.

Responsibilities include:

- Work closely with our team of in-house video producers to record, edit and review educational video and audio material
- Fill a range of supporting crew roles for on-location and studio-based media production
- Technical support for live streaming of events and productions
- Execute common media post-production tasks including ingesting, logging, assembling, editing, reviewing, mixing and finishing video and audio

**About You**
You will have a track record of successful client communications and relationship building, and a commitment to collaborative work, responsive and proactive service provision and client satisfaction.

You will have the proven ability to work calmly and methodically to troubleshoot common issues arising during the video production and postproduction process.

You will also manage personal workloads and competing priorities, within a highly productive team that seeks to generate high levels of client satisfaction.

You will also have:

- A relevant degree with substantial experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education/training in the area of video and media production
- Experience in the creation and delivery of audio and video content for online delivery, with high levels of customer satisfaction and timely project delivery
- Demonstrated applied knowledge of both studio and location-based audio and video production tasks, including hands-on experience with the Canon EOS cinema or equivalent production technology
- Experience with video and audio editing and post-production workflows and an intermediate level of competency with the Adobe CS software suite
- Emerging knowledge of, and a willingness to upskill in of one or more of the following specialist areas of innovative media creation: motion graphics, animation, 360 degree media, video compositing, virtual production environments or podcasting
