**About the role**:
Starlight Home Care is seeking a motivated and organised individual with strong attention to detail to undertake accounts payable and receivable duties within our finance team. You will be required to provide financial support to the team and process payroll for Starlight Home Care.
This position is full-time, working from our office in Somerton.
**Duties**:
- Timely and accurate processing of end-to-end payroll on a fortnightly basis, including salary packaging, leave management and superannuation.
- Ensure the payroll system is consistent with various Awards rates and with employee contracts of employment
- Termination payments and calculations, staff deductions and reimbursements
- Reconcile payroll and process, superannuation, salary sacrifice and PAYG payments
- Calculate leave entitlements, salary variances, update employee details
- Assist managers by providing necessary payroll reports
- Respond to staff enquiries and provide friendly customer service to Starlight Home Care employees
- Completing leave liability reports and reconciliations
- Processing of accounts payable and receivable
- Assist with bank reconciliations and month end journals
- Maintain the financial asset register including the reconciliation
- Understanding of the NDIS pricing arrangements to understand the accuracy of fortnightly customer invoiced based on payroll
- Prepare end of month and end of financial year reports
- Contribute to the implementation of efficiencies across the payroll function and undertake process improvements
**Skills and Experience**:
- Tertiary qualification/s
- Demonstrated experience in payroll
- Relevant experience in accounts payable, accounts receiveable and bank reconciliation
- Demonstrated experience with finance general ledger
- Proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience in finance and administration
- High level of customer service
- Demonstrated ability to be organised, prioritise work and manage time effectively
- Experience with reconciliations, journals and general finance
- Proven ability to interpret various Awards
- MYOB Accounting experience is preferred
**Must have or willing to obtain as Key Personnel**:
- NDIS Screening Check
- Police Check
- COVID 19 Vaccinations and boosters
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Infection Control Certificate

**Salary**: $59,244.11 - $93,106.00 per year
