**About Northern Beaches Hospital**
Operated by Healthscope, Northern Beaches Hospital (NBH) is located in Frenchs Forest in Northern Sydney just 13kms north of the CBD. The hospital is a contemporary 488 bed facility comprising of 60% public and 40% private beds. We provide a wide range of health services to the local community including Surgery, a 50 bed Emergency Department, Intensive Care, Birthing, Paediatrics, Cardiac, Mental Health, Dialysis, Cancer Centre and Outpatients.
NBH has thirteen operating theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheter theatre, two Catheter Laboratories and four endoscopy procedure rooms, all supported by a critical care unit which includes two intensive care wards.

**About the Role**
The Clinical Nurse Consultant - Comprehensive Care & Innovation is responsible for the care elements outlined in the Comprehensive Care clinical standard, focusing on falls reduction and delirium management. You will be developing hospital-wide harm reduction strategies that are evidence-based and meet the needs of our patients and organisation. There will be a significant responsibility for ensuring that our most vulnerable patients continue to be managed proactively, reducing the risk of harm and developing and building on safety culture, using quality improvement processes.
You will develop strong working relationships with the aged care teams at Northern Beaches Hospital, as this role involves some clinical assessment and decision making functions.
Reporting directly to the Deputy Director of Nursing, you will be supported by the senior nursing and allied health teams. In addition, our aged care senior medical staff and allied health professionals will also support you.
To be successful:
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent as applicable & a post graduate certificate in the relevant specialty field
- At least 5 years full time post-registration experience & at least 3 years’ experience in the specialty.

- Research experience
- Experience working in the private health system
