**Quick overview of the role**
We are currently seeking a Leading Hand with experience in steel production processes to join the Capalaba branch in a full-time permanent position. You will be responsible for coordinating & supervising the overall running of warehouse and operational staff, operating all machinery and vehicles, some customer service and ensuring all loads are correctly produced, prepared, packed, and loaded with a clear focus on quality, safety and 5S continuous improvement.

**What will you be doing?**
- Lead and supervise warehouse operations area inclusive of safety, manufacturing, maintenance, and stores activities
- Supervise labour resources in line with business requirements and policies
- Ensure all machinery is operated and maintained in a safe and serviceable condition
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance outcomes, striving for consistent in full
- and on-time delivery
- Ensure safety standards are adhered to, making suitable changes when risks and opportunities are identified
- Ensure Neumann Steel procedures & policies are communicated and understood by all staff
- Deliver effective work instructions and direction to warehouse staff ensuring the picking slips & delivery preparation is as required to ensure accuracy of deliveries
- Supervise and ensure the loading of trucks, trailers & any other vehicle are done safely and to a high-quality standard
- Ensure 5S principles are implemented and maintained in the warehouse and yard
- Experience in steel production processes and quality control
- Ability to coach, lead and mentor warehouse teams in a high activity and fact-paced environment
- Previous experience and the ability to coordinate training of staff
- Holds a valid Forklift (LF) ticket
- Experience operating production machinery
- Can organise, plan, and prioritise work
