The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Dental Assistants to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Prepare equipment, instruments and materials utilised in a variety of dental procedures
- Accurately and proficiently assist and adapt to an operator where required to provide fourhanded dentistry, retraction and evacuation techniques
- Use FDI, Palmers Notation, dental specific language and terminology, and forensic charting
- Assist with dental radiography, developing and mounting radiographs.
- Assist in the administrative functions associated with Dental Assistant duties

About you

**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- Certificate III in Sterilisation and/or Dental Assisting or relevant higher qualification
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card - QLD Health will meet the cost)
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 19
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Driver Licence
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

Salary
- Permanent full time and permanent part time (several positions, hrs negotiable).
- Base salary ranging from $64 464 - $64 613 per annum or $30.99 - $32.58 per hour

Queensland Health employs a range of Oral Health staff to deliver oral health care to eligible patients. The composition of teams may vary between clinics. Teams generally consist of the following staff: Dentists, Dental Specialists, Oral Health Therapists, Dental Therapists, Dental Prosthetists, Dental Technicians, Dental Assistants and Administration Officers. Based in Southport, Robina and Palm Beach.
