Production Operator - Thomastown, VIC
Exciting Career Opportunity
This is a permanent full-time position with a leading Australian manufacturing organisation. Join our team at Thomastown, VIC with onsite parking, a fantastic team dynamic, and a supportive work culture.
As a Production Operator reporting to the Leading Hand, you will operate a variety of machinery (setting machine, extruder, and de-hacker) in a fast paced environment to produce top-quality bricks.
You will be a crucial part of our team, participating in process improvements and safety projects. A forklift license is essential, and flexibility is key, as you will work Monday to Friday 5:00am - 1:30pm with overtime available.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct quality prestart checklists
- Counter balance forklift operation (daily)
- Operate machinery to exceed production targets
- Maintain and enhance daily production levels
- Adhere to work instructions and procedures
- Uphold high-quality standards
- Ensure cleanliness and perform other duties as necessary
- Inspect bricks for quality attributes

**Required Skills & Experience**:

- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
- Current forklift ticket
- Physical fitness and ability to lift
- Attention to detail
- Previous experience on a production line within the Mfg industry
- Good communication skills
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
- Team player mentality
