Transmission Lines
CPP delivers high-voltage transmission line solutions up to 500kV, with a focus on substation connections.
We offer world-leading, internationally supported live-line capabilities - upgrading existing lines without outages, a service unmatched in Australia. Our in-house engineering team provides full transmission line design services, covering civil, structural, foundation, and electrical line design.
With expertise in overhead line stringing and conductor replacement, our transmission line capability is a key part of CPP’s end-to-end, one-stop solution for clients.
The Opportunity
We’re seeking a strategic and influential Program Manager to take on a pivotal leadership role within CPP’s national Transmission Lines business. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to work alongside the General Manager, Transmission Lines, playing a key role in shaping the future of high-voltage infrastructure delivery across Australia.
You’ll lead the performance, coordination, and growth of a dynamic division, overseeing the successful execution of major transmission projects. With a strong pipeline of work ahead, your leadership will be instrumental in driving operational excellence, guiding bid strategy, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You'll also help steer the direction of tender preparation, resource planning, and stakeholder engagement at both strategic and operational levels.
**Key responsibilities**:
Lead and mentor a high-performing team of Project Engineers, Project Managers, and support staff
Provide strategic oversight on project escalations, workforce planning, and delivery priorities
Partner with the Construction Manager and Bid Manager to shape commercial and delivery decisions
Manage the complex coordination of plant and personnel across a logístically demanding, multi-state operation
Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to drive collaborative outcomes
Monitor project performance and financials, proactively mitigating risks and driving continuous improvement
Ad-hoc travel to site

**Skills and Experiences**:
About You
You are a proven leader in infrastructure delivery with a deep understanding of the power transmission space. You bring a calm, strategic presence to complex projects, balancing strong commercial judgement with a collaborative, people-first leadership style.
- 12+ years of Project Management experience, with a strong track record in high-voltage or power transmission experience
- Extensive experience working within contractor environments
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and motivate teams
- Qualifications in Engineering or significant trade experience
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to engage across all levels, including frontline crews and leadership
- Adept business and commercial acumen
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- Relationship-oriented style, with the ability to adapt your leadership style to your team
