Join a leading not for profit organisation dedicated to providing support and assistance to individuals and families. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented
**Payroll Officer** to join our team in a
**casual**,
**fully remote** capacity. If you have a strong background in payroll and enjoy working independently while ensuring accuracy and compliance, this opportunity is for you.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the external payroll provider, who is responsible for processing the pays, superannuation and tax, and ensure accurate and timely payroll management.
- Review and validate payroll information provided by the external provider, identifying and rectifying any errors or discrepancies.
- Prepare and submit reports to external salary sacrifice company, including internal payroll comparisons and bank file compilation for approvals.
- Support end-of-month reconciliations, such as rollover hours and additional payment processing, in collaboration with the Finance Team Leader.
- Maintain compliance with relevant payroll regulations, internal policies, and employment contracts.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in payroll legislation and contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Payroll Officer or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of payroll principles and practices.
- Familiarity with external agency payroll systems, and the ability to review and validate processed data.
- A detail-oriented mindset with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in generating accurate payroll reports and reconciliations.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines consistently.
- Knowledge of the SCHADS Award is highly desirable.
