Baker

**The Bread Social** is looking for a Part Time / Full Time Baker to join our professional team located at our state of the art facility at our Currumbin Waters location

We are currently in the process of building one of the most premier sourdough baking facilities on the east coast of Australia.

Experience in dough mixing, hand shaping and baking sourdough is preferable but not essential.

Experience in a similar role & prior sourdough and pastry experience is a plus.

Relevant Certificate III & Certificate IV is also a plus but not necessary.

We are hoping for an enthusiastic, reliable and skilled person with a passion for organic, Australian and local produce.

You are required to be organised, efficient and capable of delivering a consistent standard of work.

Starting times may vary, with blended shift patterns across our sites, as we at The Bread Social strive to give our employees the best quality of life & balance.

Shifts can begin from 2-6:30am for a Baker.

Skills required but not essential;
- Hand moulding and scaling doughs
- Work deck ovens, monitoring and adjusting oven temperatures determined by baking times
- Ability to bake with minimum supervision & comfortable with different bread styles and scoring techniques
- Operating, maintaining, cutting and moulding machines
- Dough mixing
- Pastry production
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of bakery cleanliness and hygiene

Pay rate will be calculated on experience.
