**About the role**:
This role will support the Chief Operating Officer (“COO”) of MUFG’s Global Corporate & Investment Banking (“GCIB”) business in Oceania as part of the Planning function in the wider COO team.
The Planning function is responsible for providing timely, accurate and insightful financial and performance reporting and analysis to the Head of GCIB, the GCIB leadership team and regionally. As such, the role is critically important to the successful running and growth of the GCIB business
**What you’ll be doing**:
- Tracking, reporting on and managing expenses incurred in the GCIB business.
- Managing the organisation structure tracking of the GCIB Oceania business (over 200 staff),
- Ensuring headcount related matters are understood and managed, costs are allocated in the correct team and location, hiring plans are understood
- Providing both accurate and timely reporting of financial information, and also insights and analysis for management on opportunities to improve financial performance and emerging issues to be aware of
- Budget setting (and hence taking a forward-looking strategic and planning mindsight) as well as ongoing tracking and management of financial performance
- Working with the COO and the Head of GCIB Oceania, as well as each of the Client Coverage and Product Heads in the business
- Liaising with peers in both the COO Planning function and other functions including Finance and Regional Planning
**Wh**at we are looking for**:
- Strong financial and managerial accounting skills and excellent data handling skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field with ACA/CPA/CMA/CFA to be favourably considered
- Strong stakeholder management skills to facilitate collaborate with other departments including regional stakeholders
- High proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint, with familiarity dealing with databases favoured.
- Good knowledge of Corporate and Investment Banking business drivers and cost levers would be an advantage
