**About the Role**

We are looking for experienced male support workers to join our Deception Bay Supported Independent Living (SIL) home team to support our client living with 1:1 supports in this home.

You will be responsible for a wide range of duties including:

- providing positive support in the areas of life skills
- day-to-day care
- personal care
- hygiene
- incident management
- transport
- community access

We have shifts during the morning, afternoon, evening, overnight, weekends and public holidays. Applicants with full and flexible availability will be considered favourably.

- You are passionate about caring for people with disabilities and you are a reliable and flexible worker.

**Essential Skills and Qualifications**
- Experience or willingness to support people with a disability
- Passionate about providing person-centred and active support
- Current first aid certificate (including CPR)
- Blue Card and Yellow Card, or the ability to quickly attain them
- Access to a smart device
- Valid drivers’ license
- Your own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- Authority to work in Australia

**Desirable**
- Certificate 3 or 4 in Disability, Community services any other related courses
- Previous experience in the delivery of personal care services
- Previous experience working with clients that have a PBSP
- Previous experience working with complex and challenging behaviours
- Mental Health First Aid training
- Medication administration training
- Personal care, manual handling, medication management and infection control procedures knowledge and experience

**Salary**: $30.00 - $39.99 per hour

- Deception Bay QLD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)
