The George Williams Hotel’s design accommodates 103 guests with a perfect blend of modern and mínimalist décor in an urban setting for those who are visiting Brisbane for business or leisure.
We are now searching for a **Hotel Receptionist** to join the team on a **casual basis **in a variety of shifts across the 24hr/7-day week roster.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
The role of a** Hotel Receptionist **involves ensuring the quality and timely delivery of all accommodation related services with the view of maximizing profits whilst ensuring guest satisfaction.
The responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Ensure guests are greeted in a warm friendly manner, creating a positive first impression of the GWH and enjoy a comfortable stay through friendly and efficient service
- Handle guest queries and complaints in a professional manner ensuring guest satisfaction
- Understand and accurately complete all guest reservations via phone enquiry, fax or internet and ensure source of business data is accurately recorded
- Allocate rooms for all guests and ensure that regular guests, corporate clients and VIP’s are allocated the correct room numbers and all special requests are adhered to where possible
- Provide information to guests around local attractions and sight-seeing.
- Cash handling including cash float and end-of-day reporting (training provided)
- Coordinate amenities and room service orders and deliveries.
- Supporting the Night Manager with daily tasks and duties
**SELECTION CRITERIA**
- Previous experience within the hospitality industry including front office, reservations and/or auditing experience
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills including an ability to handle in a professional manner queries, complaints and any difficult situations which may arise
- Sound knowledge of computer systems including the Microsoft Office Suite of programs
- Previous experience with cash handling and transaction handling
- Willing and able to work flexible hours as determined by the business requirements
