Hostel Receptionist

Casual Receptionist – Roamer Brisbane

We're looking for a friendly, reliable, and energetic Casual Receptionist to join the front desk team at Roamer Brisbane, our hostel/hotel hybrid in the heart of the city.

You'll be the first person our guests meet, helping with check-ins, check-outs, and making sure every traveller feels at home.

Shifts:

• 7am – 3pm and 3pm – 11pm
• We're especially looking to fill afternoon/evening shifts (3–11pm) right now.

Your main duties will include:

• Organising and managing bookings
• Answering phone calls and guest enquiries
• Liaising with OTAs and handling online reservations
• Providing excellent customer service at all times
• Keeping reception running smoothly and supporting the rest of the team

What we're looking for:

• A genuine people person with strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Previous hostel or hotel reception experience would be a huge plus
• Experience using MEWS PMS is highly advantageous
• Fluency in English is required
• Second languages are a plus — we host guests from all over the world
• A positive attitude and friendly personality are essential
• Someone who's keen to grow with the team and be part of Roamer for the long run
