**The Purpose**:
As a 12-month max term (parental leave) position the purpose of this Marketing Manager role is to develop, implement, and manage integrated marketing and communications strategies and campaigns that support organisational objectives and drive business growth within the domestic payments sector. As a Marketing Manager, this role is responsible for translating strategic priorities into effective marketing plans that build awareness, engagement, and trust in Australian Payments Plus (AP+) and its portfolio of brands, with a primary focus on B2B audiences.
Working across key domestic payments initiatives, the role plays a pivotal part in educating and engaging stakeholders — including financial institutions, merchants, government, media and industry partners — on the value, security, and innovation of AP+’s solutions. Through targeted marketing activities, you will help strengthen the position of AP+ as the leader in Australia’s payments ecosystem, driving understanding and adoption of local payment capabilities and reinforcing confidence in the future of domestic payments.
**The core accountabilities of the role will include**:
- Develop and deliver B2B marketing and communications strategies and plans that align with organisational objectives and drive growth across AP+’s portfolio of domestic payment brands and solutions.
- Implement strategies to enhance reach, engagement, and effectiveness of marketing and communications activities.
- Plan, execute, and optimise marketing and communications campaigns, leveraging digital, social, event, and partnership channels to achieve measurable outcomes.
- Oversee the development of high-quality marketing materials, including creative briefs, messaging frameworks, and collateral production through collaboration with the internal studio or external agencies.
- Create and manage engaging content across owned, earned, and paid platforms to promote AP+ brands, solutions, and initiatives, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and relevance.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, working collaboratively with internal teams, partners, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment on marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate across teams and business units to implement integrated marketing approaches that support organisational goals and reinforce AP+’s leadership in the domestic payments sector.
**The capabilities needed to be successful for this role are**:
- Up to 4 years of experience in similar role with experience in domestic payments or financial services sector advantageous.
- Proven experience developing and delivering integrated marketing strategies and campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and growth.
- Strong capability in brand management, messaging, and content development across digital, social, and traditional channels
- Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships with internal teams, agencies, suppliers, and industry partners.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, meet deadlines, and deliver quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with strong influencing and coordination skills, supporting cross-functional marketing delivery.
