**About You**

We are looking for reliable Support workers to join our team in **Brisbane North and surrounding suburbs
- The Gap, Enoggera, Everton Hills, Wilston, Kallangur, Taigum.**

**Multiple shifts **available for one-on-one support.

Opportunity to become **permanent part-time** with eligibility to **salary packaging** (save up to $15,900 per year tax-free)

Access to **Employee Assistance Program** - a free and confidential phone-based counselling service available to all staff and immediate family members

**Your main duties and responsibilities will include**:

- **_Activities of daily living_**- personal hygiene, dressing, eating/feeding, toileting or assistance with continence aids and transferring/mobility assistance which may include manual handling
- **_ Domestic assistance_** - cleaning, cooking, laundry, gardening
- **_ Community access_** - driving to medical appointments, social activities, shopping, leisure drive/outings, school drop-off and pick-up
- **_ Hobbies/interests_** - supporting/introducing activities like arts and crafts, sports, collections, learning new skills/technology, reading/tutoring, love for animals, good conversations, companionship

**QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/LICENCE**
- Relevant qualifications in healthcare (Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, Aged Care) highly regarded, or
- Relevant experience caring for people with a Disability, Mental Health condition, or Complex / Multiple care needs preferred
- Good understanding of Positive Behaviour Support Plans and Restrictive Practice highly preferred
- Experience looking after individuals with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy and Mental Health condition an advantage
- Current Blue Card and Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Screening Card or willingness to obtain
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
- Updated COVID-19 Vaccination
- Current Driver's licence with a registered/reliable vehicle and comprehensive insurance
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally, non-verbally and written form
- Basic computer skills
