**Your new role**:
Working on the Anzac Class Frigates under the Warship Asset Management Agreement, as a Production Planner, you will be responsible for maintaining the as-planned configuration baseline from the manufacturing bill of material, creation of Work Orders and Job Cards, performing production scheduling, capacity planning, production monitoring and production reporting.
**More specifically, this role will see you**:
- Be responsible for allocation of scope, budget and materials required to execute planned scope in accordance with agreed Build Strategy/ Project Plan/ Master Production Schedule/ Production Detail Plans
- Influence the development of the Manufacturing BoM (being constructed from Engineering BoM) by identifying manufacturing efficiencies or constraints within the production facilities in accordance with Build Strategy/ Build Plans and standard procedures
- Assist the Engineering and production team with defining manufacturing strategies and techniques for the cost effective/ timely production of new and existing products
- Assist DFM (Design for Manufacture) group with design for manufacturing solutions, focussing on data structure to support MBOM that supports cost, schedule and technical constraints
- Be responsible for the development and maintenance of Work Orders and Job Cards in line with Production Planning processes, work instructions and checklists
- Create and maintain Production Schedules working within the constraints of the Build Strategy/ Project Plan/ Master Production Schedule/ Production Detail Plans
About you
**As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have**:
- The ability to hold or obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance
- Demonstrated experience in a Production, Scheduling/ Production Planning type role, preferably in the heavy engineering industries or equivalent tertiary qualifications or production trade experience
- Working knowledge of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) processes and toolsets
- Demonstrated experience in operating Primavera would be highly desired
- Relevant trade qualifications and understanding of Quality and Configuration Control
- Knowledge of effective use of Planning and scheduling processes, systems and tools

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
