**EPIC ESSENTIALS**

Our fast-growing Sydney office is looking for an Auditor Assistant to support our expanding statutory audit projects in NSW. Under the direction of our Site Auditors, you will be helping to support complex, high-profile audits across a wide range of sectors. In addition, this role includes the opportunity to contribute and participate in a broad range of contaminated land projects across Australia, expanding the breadth of your experience in this industry.

This is a perfect opportunity to fast-track your development as a future Site Auditor. Epic will provide the resources and experience you need to support you and your submissions for these coveted roles.

Duties will include:

- Assisting our Auditors with contaminated land audit projects including reviews of environmental reports, preparation of audit advice, preparation of site audit reports, conducting site inspections and participation in client meetings
- Proposal and tender preparation
- Project management, including planning, budgeting, financial management, scheduling, quality reviews and client communication
- Preparing for and participating in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel and other stakeholders

**WHAT YOU WILL BRING**

To be considered for this position, you will need to possess the following:

- Tertiary qualifications from a recognised institution in environmental science, soil science, hydrogeology, geology or environmental engineering or similar relevant degree
- A minimum of 3 years’ environmental consulting experience in contaminated land
- Knowledge of relevant NSW Environmental legislation and relevant contaminated land guidelines demonstrated understanding of the national technical framework such as NEPM (Assessment of Site Contamination)
- Exposure to reporting writing and developing innovative approaches to solving client problems
- Understanding of and experience in sampling methodologies for soil, surface water and groundwater
- Exposure to human health and ecological risk assessment, hydrogeology, vapour intrusion/hazardous ground gas
- Experience in contaminated land auditing desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated team player (ideally with multi-disciplinary project teams) and able to self-motivate and take ownership of and be accountable for the delivery of contaminated land tasks and projects
- Demonstrated success in the development and management of client relationships and interest to undertake business development and growth opportunities for Epic
- Valid NSW or QLD drivers’ licence
