**Strategic Infrastructure Planning Department**

The **_Strategic Infrastructure Planning Department_** takes a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach to developing long term infrastructure strategies, plans, policies and standards to guide sustainable infrastructure provision for our communities, both current and future. The Department’s program is developed to create an innovative approach to integrate planning across Council’s open space, community infrastructure, transport, water cycle (including flood mitigation) and coastal infrastructure networks in a financial, social and environmentally sustainable and resilient manner.

**Key projects** for the Department currently include maintaining and amending the Local Government Infrastructure Plan, developing a Coastal Hazard Adaptation Strategy, Integrated Transport Strategy, **Open Space Plan**, Community & Cultural Places Plan, **Integrated Water Management Plan** as well as undertaking the infrastructure planning to support Council’s growth areas such as Caboolture West and Morayfield South.

As our **_Principal/Lead Strategic Infrastructure Planner - Green Infrastructure (as referenced to internally),_**_ _you will, be joining a team of highly skilled professionals in one of Australia's fastest growing regions.

You will be a part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to working through the challenges faced by seeking to balance the growth of our region with well-planned infrastructure integrated with environmental values to deliver sustainable outcomes for current and future generations.

You will be a leader in the development and delivery of high-level strategies, strategic planning, and policy to guide and support the delivery of Council’s green infrastructure networks to achieve improved ecological outcomes for the region.

**About you**

We are seeking a highly developed strategic thinker with the ability to work well across a diverse range of stakeholders both internally and externally to our organisation. You will have the ability to negotiate, influence and deliver beneficial outcomes for our community and the environment.

You will have experience in the development, delivery, and project management of complex infrastructure planning projects in a clear and concise manner.

You will have comprehensive knowledge of green infrastructure outcomes and their integration with local government infrastructure networks, urban form, financial sustainability and placemaking principles

You will be dedicated to meeting the challenge of contributing to balanced outcomes, advocating and developing future focused policy.
