DXC Analytics has an opening for a Data Engineering Manager. You will be responsible for managing and supporting a sub-section of the greater Data Engineering and Insights team, planning projects, supporting presales, solutioning and guiding the team to navigate the fast-changing technology stack.

This role can be based in either Melbourne, Sydney or Canberra and will work a hybrid mix of in the DXC office to collaborate and drive team engagement, customer visits when required, and from home to allow you to better balance your life.

**What you will do**:

- Manage a team of 10 + Data Engineers and Data analysts including supporting their professional development and growth
- Deliver data engineering and insights solutions for our clients
- Develop and harvest IPs for win-and-repeats
- Support multiple client engagements
- Support presales collateral and RFIs/tenders and relevant solution architectures
- Engage with clients using your excellent communication and presentation skills

**What you will bring to the role**:

- 10 years + Data Engineer / Data Insights experience
- Proven people management experience
- Experience with at least one of the following: - traditional data platforms (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, DB2); Cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, OCI); SaaS data tools (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Informatica, Kafka )
- Deep understanding of ETL, ELT, data wrangling, data modelling, handling of steaming data
- Experience with big data / Hadoop (Cloudera and Hortonworks) and streaming technologies (Kafka, Spark)
- Experience with BI / visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
- Knowledge of one or multiple data programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Spark, Scala)
- Proficient with software engineering practices (e.g., coding standards, unit testing, version control, code review and Devops)
