**About us**:
The Children's Court of Victoria (ChCV) has jurisdiction under the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 to hear cases involving children and young people up to the age of 18 years, and in some cases up to 19 years. It has a Family Division and a Criminal Division and it sits at locations throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.
**About the role**:
The ChCV is dedicated to continuous improvement in the delivery of services and is committed to strengthening support services for all court users. The Court Support Coordinator (CSC) provides assistance and support to children, young people and their families attending the Moorabbin Children's Court, to improve their court experience.
The primary focus of the CSC is the provision of information and support to court users through a traumainformed lens to assist them in navigating the court process (particularly self-represented litigants). In doing so the aim is to alleviate any distress and anxiety court users can experience while attending the court, and therefore improving their experience and the overall court environment.
