**About the Position**:
Your key responsibilities will include;
Adhere to Active Monash’s Service Improvement Program’s key focus areas; cleanliness and presentation, presence and supervision, communication, staff appearance and professionalism.

Assist with operational needs such as welcoming new members, providing training advice, technique correction, generate feedback and cleaning of equipment.

Conduct thorough health assessments and design individualised fitness programs for patrons.

Provide high level of customer service to patrons at all times whilst allowing them to ‘participate their way’.

Positively promote the benefits of fitness programs and retention initiatives within the centre.

Develop and foster a positive culture amongst patrons and promote other fitness and recreation activities.

Implement and follow all relevant centre wide and gym policies and procedures.

Report major and minor issues concerning gym members or the facility to the Member Experience Team Leader.

Provide a professional public image and maintain a safe, informative and friendly gym environment.

Collect statistical information regarding patronage.

Conduct group exercise sessions when required within scope of practice.

**Key Selection Criteria**:
Experience in providing exercise and fitness assistance to a range of demographics within the community.

Sound communication, excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Experience in assessing physical fitness and developing individual fitness programs.

A flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to varying tasks and priorities.

A desire to progress to a Personal Training role and develop a client base.

Wide range of availability compatible with operational hours and needs.

**Additional requirements**:
Completion of Certificate III in Fitness or an equivalent combination of experience and training.

Sound knowledge and technical skills in prescribing and supervising one on one and group exercise

A demonstrated commitment to providing high levels of customer service.

Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate.

Current CPR Certificate.

Right to Work in Australia

Current Working with Children’s Check.

Satisfactory National Police Check;
Registration with AUSActive.
