- Macquarie University is recruiting for a new Academic Success Partner (Faculty of Arts and Macquarie Business School) to join the dynamic and exciting Access and Success team within the Office of the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Education. In consultation with the Manager, Academic Success, you will lead a team of experts to design and deliver curricular and co-curricular programs and services that empower coursework students' academic success.
- You are committed to research-informed design and best practice in inclusive program delivery. Your expertise and experience allow you to lead academic, digital, and professional literacies programs to enable student and future success. High-level analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to think strategically and creatively, allow you to respond proactively to faculty-specific needs and priorities. Equally, your positive and flexible approach to unexpected or changing circumstances enables you to support both colleagues and stakeholders thoughtfully and effectively. About Us
- The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) is the Chief Academic Officer of the University and is the member of the University Executive with overall responsibility for the planning, quality and delivery of education provided to Macquarie's undergraduate and graduate students.
- The Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education) is responsible for the University’s educational endeavour across all aspects of the educational lifecycle, including pathways and access, curriculum and educational capability development, educational outcomes and graduate success, as well as the Macquarie University College. - To Apply- Postgraduate qualification in an academic literacy-related field and/or sustained relevant experience delivering curricular and co-curricular academic success programs and initiatives. While not essential, an academic background involving either undergraduate teaching or postgraduate research in a relevant discipline would serve you well in this position.-
- Knowledge of the higher education sector, particularly legislative and regulatory requirements relating to academic success and support for students.-
- Knowledge of research and best practice regarding the innovation and optimisation of academic success and support programs.-
- Demonstrated capability to implement, manage, and prioritise the end-to-end delivery of curricular and co-curricular programs in partnership with faculties and other relevant stakeholders.-
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, including the proficiency to evaluate program effectiveness and undertake continuous quality improvement activities to uplift student outcomes.-
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the aptitude to advise and influence key faculty stakeholders and achieve buy-in for academic success programs.-
- Demonstrated capability to manage staff in an exemplary professional, collaborative, and innovative team environment- Work hours may vary from time to time to accommodate business needs._
