**Do you have a passion for working with people with a disability?**
- We are looking for Female, Disability Support Workers who will support and assist our participants reach their goals independently, their way. _

Aurora Community Care is a registered NDIS Disability Support Service Provider. We specialise in In-Home Supports and Supported Independent Living (SIL) accommodation. We service the following areas: Greater Brisbane Area, Ipswich, Logan, and Northern Gold Coast.

We have **CASUAL and PERMANENT PART-TIME** Disability Support Worker roles available in our team for our participants on a 24/7 rostering system. Only people who can work any shift in a 7-day period should apply.

**Skills and Experience**
- Education in relevant area - minimum Certificate III in Disability, Community Services, or Individual Support.
- Previous experience in supporting participants aged 10 and above with disabilities.
- Experience in dealing with challenging behaviours, manual handling/hoisting and medication assistance is highly regarded.
- Ability to maintain strong professional boundaries.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills is a must.

**Duties and responsibilities may include**:

- Personal care: showering, dressing, and grooming.
- Medication assistance.
- Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Community Access: social activities, grocery shopping.
- Assistance in travelling to medical appointments.
- Supporting clients in the use of mechanical aids and personal equipment including wheelchairs, manual or electric hoists, slide sheets, moving boards and handling belts.
- Supporting clients who have mental health challenges.
- Supporting clients with complex and/or challenging needs is required
- Expected to follow the company policies and procedures and code of conduct.
- Monitoring the well-being of clients reporting and documenting on their progress.
- Participation in training is required.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Casual

**Salary**: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
