Specifically, we're looking for a healthcare professional with relevant tertiary qualifications and/or postgraduate qualifications in (Forensic) Mental Health and/or management discipline. Qualifications in a health field will require current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) in your relevant field of practice. Someone with demonstrated experience in leadership or as a manager in a mental health service and experience working with public mental health consumers who have had contact with the criminal justice system. Here at Justice Health NSW, the Team Leader - Statewide Community and Court Liaison Service (SCCLS) aims to assist the court magistrate with the diversion of mentally ill, mentally disordered and/or cognitively impaired individuals from the courts into the community for treatment. The SCCLS Team Leader ’s primary responsibility is to support and assist the Operations Manager and the Clinical Director with the service development and operational management of SCCLS. The Team Leader will coordinate operations, manage select SCCLS resources and provide support to the Clinical Director and the SCCLS clinicians to deliver a standardised and effective model of care. This role will assist the SCCLS to achieve the Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network (JHFMHN) strategic plan and objectives. The Team Leader will work in partnership with the SCCLS management team to develop effective and collaborative working relationships with external agencies including, Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW), Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ), Aboriginal Support Unit (DCJ), Local Health Districts (LHD’s), community treatment providers, National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and Non-Governmental organisations (NGO’s).
