**The Role**

Our Ridge Street site services many customers in a contract manufacturing capacity focused on packaged, natural and processed cheeses. These include the renown Bega cheese blocks
- mild, tasty, and vintage, shredded and cubed cheese, natural slices, parmesan, colby, mozzarella and burger slice cheeses and our Lactose free range.

We’re looking for a proactive and people-focused Safety and Wellbeing Coordinator to lead and support wellbeing initiatives across our site. In this role, you’ll provide expert guidance on injury prevention, incident management, and return-to-work processes. You’ll help foster a safe, engaged, and compliant workplace culture while enhancing employee engagement through meaningful safety and wellbeing programs.

This is a hands-on role working closely with the site steering group and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and positive outcomes. The position follows standard Monday to Friday office hours, with occasional flexibility to support shift coverage as needed.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead site-specific wellbeing initiatives aligned with organisational goals around injury prevention
- Investigate incidents and provide expert advice to reduce risk and ensure compliance
- Develop and deliver wellbeing communications and training programs
- Prepare and analyse wellbeing data to support informed decisions
- Promote and enforce safe work practices in line with health, safety, and environment policies

**About you**
- Experience in safety, wellbeing, injury management, return-to-work coordination
- Knowledge of manufacturing or operational environments
- Strong understanding of safety legislation and compliance requirements
- Strong stakeholder relationship skills with ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders
- Comfortable using digital tools and systems to manage safety and wellbeing processes
